Judges List Criteria:

A1:
For persons who have previously been approved by the Kennel Club to award CC's in the breed and have completed their first appointment
​

A2:
For persons who fulfill all of the requirements for the A3 and who have been assessed in accordance with the Kennel Club requirements and accepted by the Kennel Club for inclusion on the A2 list and have the support of the NCWC
​

A3:
Breed Specialist
-
Minimum of 10 years judging experience in the breed and have the support of the NCWC
-
To have judged the Breed at a breed club show
-
To have judged the breed at Open or Championship show without CC's with a geographical spread
-
To have judged a minimum of 75 classes with at least 300 dogs present and judged them over a period of at least 10 years
-
To have bred or owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they obtained their first entry in the Kennel Club stud book (save in exceptional circumstances)
-
To have attended at least one Whippet Breed Club Seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and or assessment where applicable
-
To have attended at Confirmation and Movement 'hands on assessment' conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and Passed the assessment
-
To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club accredited trainer on confirmation and movement
-
To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club accredited trainer and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club regulations and judging procedures
-
To have stewarded at 12 shows

Non Breed Specialist
All the above under A3 Breed Specialist and with the following amendments:
-
Seven years Judging experience in any oone hound breed, to include 5 years in Whippets
-
To have bred / owned at least 3 dogs of any breed when they obtained their first entry in the Kennel Club stud book

To have judged 500 dogs in this breed
-
To have awarded CC's in at least one other breed

B:
Breed Specialist
-
To have 7 years owning and exhibiting in this breed and have the support of the NCWC
-
To have judged a minimum of 30 classes and 150 dogs present and judged over a period of not less than 5 years at open or championship shows with CC's
-
To have attended a Whippet Breed Seminar
Non Breed Specialist
-
All of the above with modification of paragraph 1:
-
To have a minimum of 5 years judging experience in any one breed, plus a sustained interest in this breed, to have attended a seminar / workshop and have the support of the NCWC
-
To have judged 40 classes with 200 dogs present in whippets

Breed Specialist

For aspirant judges who have owned/shown an interest in the breed for 3 years and have the support of the NCWC
Non Breed Specialist
-
For aspirant judges who have shown an interest in Whippets and Breeds within the hound group and have the support of the NCWC
